Before using any of its online banking features, you need to know how to enroll your account in Security Bank Online. Note that you can register only through the web version. Registration of newly opened accounts is not available on the Security Bank Mobile App. 

However, you can access your online banking account through your smartphone as soon as you're done with your account enrollment online.

What Account Types Can I Enroll Online?

Security Bank allows enrollment of the following types of active accounts in its online banking platform:

  • Bank accounts (individual CASA/FCDU accounts and joint CASA accounts)
  • CashlinkPlus prepaid cards
  • Unit Investment Trust Fund (UITF) accounts
  • Term deposit accounts (for additional enrollment only)
  • Credit cards of primary cardholders

How to Create a Security Bank Online Account

To open and activate your online banking account with Security Bank, register through the online enrollment form. Here's how to do it:

Registration Steps Through the Online Enrollment Form

  1. Access the Security Bank Online page at https://securitybankonline.securitybank.com.
  2. Click Enroll Now! below the Login button.
  3. Select Bank Accounts.
  4. Tick this option: Complete the enrollment form and take note of your reference number.
  5. Read and agree to the Terms and Conditions.
  6. Click the Submit button.
  7. Fill out the online enrollment form.
  8. Get your reference number. 
  9. After submission, wait for the email notification. 
  10. Once you receive the email notification from Security Bank, you may log in and start using your Security Bank Online account. 

Note: The standard turnaround time for online enrollment is three to five working days. 

How to Set Up Touch ID Validation

The Touch ID validation feature lets you log in quickly and securely without the need to memorize too many details. Here's how to set it up: 

  1. Log in to your Security Bank mobile app. 
  2. Tap Enable Quick Login and create your PIN code. 
  3. Enter your password. You'll then be directed to the Account Overview page. 
  4. Tap More, then Quick Login. 
  5. Toggle the Touch ID switch to activate the Touch ID feature. 

You can now use the Touch ID feature the next time you log in to the app.

Security Bank Online Balance Inquiry

Through Security Bank Online's Balance Inquiry feature, you can check and monitor your enrolled accounts' balances and transaction history.

What Types of Account Balance Can I Check Online?

For enrolled Security Bank accounts, you can view your available balance and the current balance of each bank account. If you enrolled your Security Bank credit card in your online banking account, you'll also see your available credit limit, cash advance limit, and deferred payment plan limit.

It's easy to view your Security Bank account balance online. Just log in via Security Bank Online or the Security Bank Mobile App. Under the Deposit Accounts Overview, you can check your current and available balance for savings and/or checking accounts.

How to Transfer Money via Security Bank Online

 

With Security Bank Online, you can easily send money to your own Security Bank account, to other banks, or to a mobile number via the eGiveCash service.[1]

What is the Transfer Limit in Security Bank Online?

Security Bank Online has a daily aggregate limit of ₱600,000, which combines the limit for eGiveCash, prepaid mobile reloads, bills payments, and fund transfers to others. For Instapay fund transfers, the limit per transaction is ₱50,000 and ₱100,000 per day. Meanwhile, there’s no limit on fund transfers to your own account. 

The transaction limit for sending money through eGiveCash is from ₱500 to ₱10,000. Between that range, you can transfer any amount in increments of ₱100. There's also a monthly transaction limit of ₱50,000 per mobile number.

How Much is the Money Transfer Fee in Security Bank Online?

The transfer fee for all deposit products is ₱25 for Instapay transactions via the Security Bank Online app. 

How to Transfer Money to Other Banks via Security Bank Online

You can transfer money from your Security Bank savings or checking account to other banks and e-wallets such as Maya, Coins.ph, GrabPay, and GCash in real-time via InstaPay. This online service is available 24/7.

No need to enroll for funds transfer. If you already have a Security Bank Online account, you can send money online with just a few clicks. Here's how:

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Online account.
  2. Click on Payments & Transfers > Transfer Funds.
  3. Under Make a Transfer, select To other banks.
  4. Choose the bank or e-wallet to which you'll send funds.
  5. Select the Security Bank account from which the funds will be deducted.
  6. If you transfer to GCash, type the 11-digit GCash-registered mobile number as the account number.
  7. Read and accept the terms and conditions. Click Submit.
  8. Check your cellphone for a text message with an OTP (one-time PIN). Enter the OTP to confirm the money transfer.
  9. Review your transaction details and click Confirm. You'll receive an email message telling you whether your fund transfer was successful or not.

How to Transfer Money to Other Banks via Security Bank Mobile App

Want to know how to transfer money from Security Bank to BPI or other banks through the mobile app? Follow the steps below:  

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Online account.
  2. From the menu, tap on Transfers > To Other.
  3. Provide the required information.
  4. Tap on Confirm Transfer.
  5. Review your transaction details and tap Confirm Transfer to complete your fund transfer.

How to Transfer Money from Security Bank to GCash

Need to send money to a GCash account? Here are the steps you need to follow: 

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Mobile App.
  2. Access the menu on the lefthand portion and tap Transfers.
  3. Choose Other banks and your source account.
  4. Select GCash from the options as your target bank.
  5. Enter the required information. 
  6. Toggle the button for the terms and conditions, then click Submit.
  7. Wait for the SMS code (OTP) to be sent to your mobile number to confirm the fund transfer.
  8. Tap Confirm.

How to Transfer Money Using eGiveCash

With eGiveCash, you can transfer funds to anyone in the Philippines with a mobile number, even those without a bank account. The recipient will receive the money via withdrawal from any eGiveCash-enabled Security Bank ATM. 

Here are the steps to send money using eGiveCash via Security Bank Online.

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Online account.
  2. Click on Payments & Transfers > Transfer Funds.
  3. Under Make a Transfer, select To a mobile number (via eGiveCash).
  4. Enter the recipient's details under Transfer to.
  5. Under Transfer from, select the source account.
  6. Enter the amount to send and the purpose of the transfer.
  7. Click the Submit button.
  8. You'll receive an SMS with a 16-digit eGiveCash passcode. Send your recipient this passcode and the total amount transferred. The beneficiary will need these details to withdraw the money from an ATM.

Here are the steps to send money using eGiveCash via the Security Bank Mobile App.

  2. From the menu, tap on Transfers > eGiveCash.
  3. Under From, select the source account.
  4. Under To, enter the recipient's information.
  5. Enter the required details under Your Data.
  6. Under Optional Settings, you may choose to automatically send the passcode to the recipient.
  7. Tap the Send button.

Security Bank Online Bills Payment

Paying bills online is pretty straightforward for Security Bank account holders. Here are the steps to pay bills through Security Bank Online and the Mobile App.

How to Pay Bills via Security Bank Online

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Online account.
  2. Click on Payments & Transfers > Pay Bills.
  3. Select New Biller.
  4. Choose the biller from the dropdown menu (check Security Bank's list of bills payment merchants here[2]).
  5. Type your Subscriber Number, Card Number (if paying a credit card bill), or TIN, whichever is applicable.
  6. Enter the amount to pay.
  7. Select your Security Bank account you'll use for the bill payment.
  8. Select your preferred payment schedule (Immediate/Post-dated or Deferred/Recurring).
  9. Click the Submit button.

If you forget your Security Bank Online login credentials, there are ways to recover your account.

How to Retrieve Your User ID

For a forgotten user ID, request a user ID retrieval by calling Security Bank's 24/7 customer service hotline at (02) 8887-9188. You’ll be required to visit the nearest branch and present valid IDs. Once your identity is verified, your user ID will be sent to you via email.

How to Reset Your Password

 

For a forgotten password, you can change it online. No need to call the Security Bank Online hotline or visit the branch. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Security Bank Online page. Click on Forgot Password?
  2. Enter your user ID and email address. Click the Submit button.
  3. Answer the challenge question.
  4. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number. Click the Confirm button.
  5. Check your email for a message from Security Bank Online with a confirmation of your password reset and your temporary password.
  6. Log in to your Security Bank Online account.
  7. Change your password. Type the temporary password in the Old Password field. Then enter a new password and re-type it to confirm.
  8. Click the Submit button. An acknowledgment page will appear to confirm your updated password.

If you log in with an incorrect password thrice, your online banking account will be locked. It’s a security measure that protects your account against hackers who might be trying to access it. You can unlock your account by calling the customer service hotline at (02) 8887-9188.

Using the mobile app, you may also reach customer service through either of the following:

  • Filling out and submitting the Contact Us form
  • Tapping the hotline 8887-9188 in the Contact Us section to start your call

If you no longer have access to the old phone number, fill out the customer information update form[3] or call (02) 8887-9188.

3. Can I access Security Bank Online overseas? 

Yes, you can, as long as you have access to the internet on your mobile device or computer. 

4. How can I open an e-Secure Online Savings Account through the Security Bank mobile app?

Log in to your Security Bank Online account and go to Accounts. Choose eSecure Savings and tap ‘open eSS account.’ After filling out the online form, tap Submit. 

5. Can I still cancel an eGiveCash transaction? 

Yes, you can. Follow the steps below: 

  1. Log in to your Security Bank Online account, go to Payments & Transfers, and then Transfer Funds.
  2. Choose Manage Transfers and Manage Pending eGiveCash from the options. 
  3. Click Last to see your recent eGiveCash transactions. 
  4. Choose the card number and then Cancel to cancel the transaction. 
  5. State your reason for cancellation and then confirm the transaction. The funds will then be credited back to your source account. 

6. Does eGiveCash have an expiration? 

All pending eGiveCash transactions are valid for 14 days. After 14 days, the eGiveCash will expire and get automatically reversed and credited to the sender’s account. 

7. Which ATMs can I withdraw my eGiveCash from?
