Need to send money or pay bills via BDO? It will be extremely inconvenient and risky to make your banking transactions in-branch because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the government-mandated quarantine, BDO operates on reduced weekday banking hours[1] (with all branches closed on weekends), reduced workforce, and limited over-the-counter transactions. So that you don’t risk getting infected or infecting others with the virus, BDO encourages you to transact in the comfort and safety of your home through BDO Online Banking or Mobile Banking.

BDO Online Banking Enrollment

The first step you need to take is to sign up for an online account with BDO. You can enroll in online banking if you’re at least 13 years old with any of these individual or joint accounts:

  • Savings account
  • Checking account
  • Time deposit
  • BDO Cash Card (can be registered only if you have another BDO account for enrollment)
  • BDO personal loan, home loan, or car loan
  • Trust account

Final Thoughts

Using BDO Online Banking is more convenient than transacting at a BDO branch. But with the surge in online transactions during the COVID-19 lockdown, expect the BDO mobile app and website to run more slowly or worse, result in an error.

This is especially true from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. when a lot of clients are using online banking channels. To avoid any hassle, just log in to your account before or after the peak period.
