Immerse yourself in a land that boasts of many colors, with prominent influences from the Chinese, Malay, and Indian cultures. Explore Singapore for 3 days and 2 nights for as low as Php9,575 or Php 797.92 per month for 12 months using your Metrobank credit card.

Singapore, also called the Lion City, Little Red Dot, and the City in a Garden, is 1,486 miles away or approximately 4 hours away by plane from Manila. It is made up of 63 beautiful islands. Undoubtedly, the most popular is Sentosa Island where tourists can easily switch from a nature trip to a luxury shopping spree.

Visit Marina Bay Sands, the first integrated resort in Singapore and the world’s most expensive building, which is reportedly worth US$5.7 billion. Across the resort is Singapore’s national symbol, the Merlion, overlooking the three towers of Marina Bay Sands. The merlion is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.

Head with the whole family to Resorts World and take that obligatory photo with the Universal Globe at Universal Studios. Then, muster all the courage you can find before riding the Battlestar Galactica.

When you feel like binge eating, go to the hawker center and order the Chicken Rice which is considered the national dish of Singapore. It is steamed or boiled chicken on top of fragrant, oily rice and serviced with sliced cucumber. If you are particularly searching for the best chicken rice, the legendary Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice is at Stall 10 of the Maxwell Food Centre.

Another must-try is the Chili Crab, a popular Singaporean dish made of fresh meaty crabs swimming in sweet and spicy sauce and served with deep-fried mantou, so you can mop all of that oozing goodness. Two of the most recommended restaurants for chili crab are Roland Restaurant and No Signboard.

To cap off your meal, get a dose of the Teh Tarik or pulled tea from The Sarabat Stall in Baghdad Street. Think frothy, gourmet milk tea that is especially made by Indian locals in Singapore. If you want something close to the Philippines’ halo-halo, get the iced kachang, a small mountain of shaved ice with creamed corn, condensed milk, gula melaka, brightly colored syrups, red beans, palm seeds, and cubed jellies. Try the iced kachang of Annie Peanut Ice Kachang in Tanjong Pagar Plaza Market and Food Centre.
