Manila, Philippines – November 2023. MoneyHero Group, formerly Hyphen Group or CompareAsia Group and the parent company of Moneymax, has become a publicly listed entity on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

MoneyHero Group is a market leader in the personal finance space in Greater Southeast Asia, leading in four out of five markets as the number one financial services platform. Apart from the Philippines, the Company also operates in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

MoneyHero Group began trading under the ticker symbol MNY through an initial public offering (IPO) on October 13, 2023. Being a listed company on Nasdaq—one of the world’s largest stock exchanges[1]—marks a crucial milestone for the Company toward simplifying personal finance for users in the Philippines through Moneymax and other markets, making their financial decisions a time-saving and rewarding experience through accessible and innovative financial solutions.

In an interview on Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia,[2] CEO Prashant Aggarwal shared MoneyHero Group’s business strategy and expansion plans following the news on the Company’s IPO listing and business combination with Bridgetown Holdings Limited.[3]

With the funds raised through the merger with Bridgetown, MoneyHero will further accelerate growth and capture a fast-growing market opportunity. Particularly, the Company will invest in new verticals like insurance, which is a hugely under-tapped segment in terms of adoption and digitization.

Bridgetown is a Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company formed as a collaboration between Pacific Century Group (PCG) and Thiel Capital LLC. PCG is an Asia-based private investment group chaired by Hong Kong tycoon Richard Li while Thiel Capital is PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel’s venture capital firm.
