In case of a vehicular accident, you can file a claim with your auto insurance provider for repairs or other forms of indemnification. Before doing so, make sure that you have all the requirements needed for a car insurance claim process. Some of these include a fully-paid car insurance policy, police report, photocopy of your driver's license, and photos of the accident scene. Aside from car insurance comparisons, Moneymax can also help you file a claim.
Participation fee is the amount you pay out-of-pocket before the car insurance company pays the rest of the car insurance claim. As a policyholder, you “participate” in your auto insurance cost. Generally, participation fees in the Philippines cover the deductible fee, depreciation fee, or both. Know more about participation fee in this article.
CTPL is a type of car insurance in the Philippines mandated by the government for all vehicle owners. It only covers the financial responsibilities you will have to the victim/s of an accident you were involved in. CTPL does not cover you and your vehicle. Meanwhile, comprehensive insurance offers a higher level of protection for you and your vehicle. This type of auto insurance allows you to choose and customize your insurance coverage, in which you can include add-ons such as Bodily Injury Liability, Property Damage, Acts of Nature, and Roadside Assistance.
