Guide to BGC Bus Routes: How to Conveniently Commute to BGC

Bonifacio Global City (BGC), one of Metro Manila’s major financial and lifestyle districts, has its own public transport system that enables commuters to navigate the area easily and systematically. It’s as organized (though not as extensive) as the bus systems in Singapore and Hong Kong—a far cry from the chaotic buses plying along EDSA. Traveling to BGC for the first time? Not sure how to go to BGC from Manila? You can’t depend on ride-hailing apps to book your ride all the time, not to mention that they’re expensive. It’s more practical to commute via the BGC Bus, which is the main bus operator in the area. You can print out a BGC Bus route map, or you can just bookmark this guide to help you easily navigate the central business district in Taguig City. How to Commute to BGC If you want to know how to go to BGC without driving or booking a ride, you must first familiarize yourself with the BGC Bus Terminal. It’s the starting point of most bus routes to different parts of BGC. Easily accessible to commuters via MRT-3, this bus terminal is located on the corner of EDSA and McKinley Road in Makati City. But it’s commonly referred to as the EDSA Ayala bus stop. It’s on the ground floor outside the McKinley Exchange Corporate Center (the same building with Telus) and on the side of Forbes Park. You’ll also find a Shell gas station and the staircase of MRT Ayala Station northbound exit there. To get to the BGC Bus Terminal, you…

10 Fire Prevention Tips You Need to Know Now

For the first two months of 2022, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported an increase of 13% to the number of fire incidents in the Philippines. With March being Fire Prevention Month, it’s only proper to reflect on how we can improve the statistics.[1] As everyone can agree, no one wins in a fire. Not those whose properties get ravaged by the flames. Not those who lose their limbs—or worse—their lives. Not those who watch the whole tragedy unfold from a distance. Not even the environment that gets anything out of it but toxic gasses and fumes. When a fire breaks out, everyone loses. And fires may break out without warning. But that doesn’t mean they happen out of nowhere. Most of the time, fires are completely preventable. Below are some fire prevention tips you should check out for your own sake. What are the Goals of Fire Prevention? A fire prevention program is considered successful when these three goals are met: Prevent the loss of life Protect properties from damage Avoid downtimes caused by operational disruptions What’s a Fire Triangle?  For a fire to ignite and maintain combustion, three elements are needed: fuel, heat, and oxygen. When at least one of these is missing or is present but only at low levels, a fire can’t start or spread. That’s why one of the basic strategies of preventing fire is to isolate sources of fuel or heat. Needless to say, removing oxygen from the equation is most of the time nearly impossible. Important Fire Prevention Tips to Remember Here…

Why and How I Went from Freelance to Full-Time Work

For a lot of people, freelancing sounds like the dream career―work at the beach or at a café, no fixed schedule, no bosses, and unlimited earning potential. That’s all true. And it is a dream career, which is why I did it for six years.   But I recently went from freelance to full-time employee. In December 2020, I joined Moneymax as a full-time finance writer. I thought it would be a big adjustment on my part, and that I would regret leaving the freelance life. But it’s been a smooth, exciting, and financially rewarding ride.   How I Began My Freelance Career Before I became a freelance writer, I worked at a small call center in Singapore. So I just went right ahead and took the plunge―I decided to give freelance writing a shot. And I was going to write for a whole year and see where it would take me.   I bought a really good laptop and got an internet connection at home. And then I…

Until “Debt” Do Us Part? What You Should Know If You Married Someone with Debt

2020 has the lowest registered marriages—only 240,775—over the past 50 years, based on data from the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA).[1] It declined by 44.3% compared to 2019, which could be due to the quarantine measures in the country.  The COVID-19 pandemic has further brought financial concerns to marital problems in making ends meet. Read on to learn more about it. What is Telehealth? The American Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)[2] defines telehealth as “the use of electronic information and telecommunication technologies to support and promote long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration.” Basically, telehealth involves contactless consultation.
